Psalm 137 This is the most emotional melody that I have ever written. It is very mysterious and touches upon the entire gamete of emotion. Don't take it as a song of vengence. It is not. Take it as a prophecy. The little ones to be dashed against the rocks are the followers of the Daughter of Babylon and the Rock is either Messiah or the Temple Mount. Notice that it is daughter (singular) and not daughters (plural). This can only point to Mystery Whore Babylon. Who is the Mystery Whore? That is the mystery. She is not the Catholic Church or Islam or America or anyone else like that. That is too simple and none of those organizations are both evil enough and conniving enough. No the Whore is the tares that are sewn among the wheat. She is in every organization and every where on earth. She rears her head when ever people follow the money or whenever they stop trying to follow God and start trying to be Him. This is a song of mourning and loss yes. Maybe it is about the original Babylonian captivity or those killed by Nero or six million Jews being burned alive or 65 million American unborn citizens being burned alive in the wombs of their own mothers. Maybe it is a personal loss because of sin in the world or just plain life. Yet it doesn't end there. The psalm has a turn which I represent musically by a key change. This turn comes when we remember YHWH. When we remember Zion. When we remember the seed and decide to Love when we ought to hate and care when we ought to give up. C D C Em By the rivers of Babylon D There we sat down C Yea we wept D C Em When we remembered Zion D We hung our harps C G Em Upon the willows
In the midst of it
G D For those who carried us away C Em Captive C G Asked of us a Song D And those who plundered us C Em Requested mirth C D G Saying sing us one of the Songs Em Of Zion! C D G How will we sing YHWH's Song C D Em In a foreign land?
C D C Em If I forget you oh Jerusalem D Let my right hand C Forget it's skill D C Em If I do not remember you
Let my tongue cling C G To the roof of my mouth Em C Em If I do not exalt Jerusalem D C Above my chief joy. G A Remember O YHWH C D Against the Sons of Edom C The day D Em Of Jerusalem Who said, Destroy it, Destroy it! C D To it's very foundation C D Oh daughter of Babylon C Em Who are to be destroyed D C Happy the one G A Who repays you as you've served us C D Happy the one G C Who dashes your little ones D Em Against the rock!
