I have traditionally spent New Year's Eve praising and worshipping the Qedosh Yisra'el but this year I was moved to lament and cry for our great nation.  America what are we doing?

In America?

I'm the voice of one crying in the wilderness

Who will hear our cries oh Lord?

When will we see the freedoms promised in America

For the countless babies burned up in their mother's womb?

Who'd have thought a place of warmth and love could be a tomb?

In America? (2x)

He that loves the wine and oil will never know what's rich

And the cost of bread shall rise

I've been shore to shore in search of bread in America

I'm hungering and thirsting though my belly's filled up fat and full

Good Shepherd hear our cries for Bread and Water in this wilderness

We sit like caged rats schooling our children in their homes

Oh say can you see the orange glow beyond the setting sun

And smell the burning flesh the consumation of what has begun

And hear the distant cries from the ovens 'tis the END of Darwin's fun

And now I plea the Blood over us from shore to shining shore

Of Jesus Christ the Risen Lord

And invoke the POWER in His Name for Freedom in this land

For through it all somehow the Star Spangled Banner yet waves

And my heart we'll be the Land of the Free and Brave
